From January to April 2026, China's electronic information manufacturing industry maintained rapid growth in production, with exports steadily increasing and industry benefits significantly improving, showing a good development trend. The value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 14% year-on-year, with growth rates 8.4 and 1.4 percentage points higher than that of the same period in the overall industry and high-tech manufacturing industry, respectively. In April, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 15.6% year-on-year. Among the main products, the production of mobile phones was 452 million units, an increase of 0.3% year-on-year, with smart phone production reaching 390 million units, an increase of 6.5% year-on-year; the production of microcomputer equipment was 95.426 million units, a decrease of 10% year-on-year; and the production of integrated circuits was 176.97 billion pieces, an increase of 24.7% year-on-year.
