Netflix (NFLX.O) Chief Product and Technology Officer Elizabeth Stone said the company is using artificial intelligence to help users deal with the problem of content overload. Stone said at a tech conference in San Francisco that generative AI capabilities will allow users to have a "more personalized, interactive, and immersive" experience when deciding what entertainment content to watch. Stone said Netflix has integrated generative AI and natural language processing technology to determine what content users currently want to see. She said the company is testing voice user interfaces and other experimental projects, which combine user viewing preferences and history with popular trends to help the platform make highly personalized recommendations.
