In response to the online public opinion, Jinan internet police quickly carried out their work. Upon investigation, it was found that on May 21st, internet user Ma deliberately recycled old news and manipulated images from other cities' Sam's Club stores to create false content, publishing the untrue topic "Suspected theft of Sam's Club deli drinks in Jinan and Qingdao." Ma fabricated local supermarket food safety issues, intentionally creating a viral topic on the internet. Upon questioning, Ma admitted to collecting and manipulating images to publish false information. His actions are suspected of violating Article 29 of the "People's Republic of China Law on Penalties for Administration of Public Security," and Jinan Public Security Bureau's Network Security Support Team lawfully detained Ma administratively.
