The "Stock God" Serenity posted that AAOI is its favorite American photonics target and the stock rose 20.1% today. Serenity believes that if investors are looking for the "next Qualcomm," AAOI may be the relevant target. It states that photonics-related companies may reach a turning point in the first half of 2027. Currently in the second half of 2026, it is still early as the industry is still in the phase of capacity construction. Serenity points out that generally, aside from aerospace and quantum concepts, the market usually prices in future growth around 8 months in advance. It believes that the turning point of accelerated revenue growth for photonics companies is coming but the key is to wait for the timing and endure the volatility during the period.
