"France launches annual investment attraction summit, AI and data centers become investment hotspots"
France held the "Choose France" summit at the Palace of Versailles on the outskirts of Paris on the 1st, with around 200 representatives from well-known companies from various countries expected to attend. French President Macron said that France expects to receive investment commitments totaling 93 billion from foreign companies at this summit, mainly focusing on artificial intelligence and data centers. Masayoshi Son, Chairman and CEO of Japanese SoftBank Group, expects to officially announce plans to invest in and build AI infrastructure projects in France during this summit, with a total investment amount of up to 75 billion, including investing 45 billion to build a data center in the Greater Paris region, with an expected capacity of 3.1 gigawatts by 2031.
