Suzhou: From January to April, the added value of large-scale industries increased by 9.8% year on year.

The Suzhou Bureau of Statistics released data showing that from January to April, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Suzhou increased by 9.8% year on year. The total industrial output value of industrial enterprises above designated size was 1.61265 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%. Among the 34 major industries, the output value of 27 industries increased year on year, with an industry growth rate of 79.4%, and 16 industries had an output value growth rate of over 8%. The high-end transformation of the manufacturing industry continues to advance. The output value of high-tech industries above designated size was 916.46 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%. The output value of the aerospace manufacturing industry, electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, and instrument manufacturing industry increased by 23.1%, 20.0%, 12.1%, and 14.6% respectively. The production of emerging electronic products and new energy products grew rapidly. The output of smartphones, integrated circuits, optoelectronic devices, and lithium-ion batteries increased by 8.5%, 18.1%, 18.2%, and 46.3% respectively year on year.
