The National Stock Exchange of India announced that with the implementation of the closing auction mechanism for spot stocks on August 3, the regular trading closing time for stock derivatives will be extended by 10 minutes to 15:40. The exchange issued a notice on its official website on Friday, stating that the closing auction period for spot stocks on all trading days will be from 15:15 to 15:35. This auction mechanism initially only covers individual stocks corresponding to derivative contracts. Regular trading of stock derivatives will close at 15:40, with trading modification operations allowed to continue until 16:15. It is important to note that the trading hours for spot stock trading in India are still from 9:15 to 15:30. The exchange stated that the calculation rule for the closing price of derivatives remains unchanged, still using the volume-weighted average price during the period from 15:10 to 15:40.
