The Ministry of Water Resources deployed the second phase of the Mother River Rehabilitation Action.

Recently, the Ministry of Water Resources issued the "Mother River Revival Action Plan" to carry out the second batch of Mother River revival actions, and continue to restore the ecological environment of rivers and lakes. The plan proposes that by 2030, the ecological conditions of rivers and lakes included in the Mother River revival action will continue to improve, and the overall appearance of rivers and lakes will be significantly improved. The first batch of 88 Mother Rivers' revival achievements will be continuously consolidated, and the second batch of 111 Mother Rivers will achieve seasonally unobstructed flow under normal water conditions, effectively maintain the ecological water level of lakes, maintain flow throughout the year with water in rivers, significantly improve water dynamic conditions, improve the ecological functions of key rivers and lakes, restore certain important water habitats, and effectively maintain the health and vitality of rivers and lakes.
