Recently, the Ministry of Water Resources released the 2025 "China River Sediment Bulletin". The bulletin shows that in 2025, the total runoff at representative hydrological stations of major rivers is 11,710 billion cubic meters, which is 18% lower than the multi-year average annual runoff; the total sediment transport at representative stations is 4.01 billion tons, which is 71% lower than the multi-year average annual sediment transport.
