The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced on May 25 that, according to the information from the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision: Recently, with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has launched an investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal issues of Long Yong, former member of the Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Panzhihua City. After investigation, Long Yong has lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original aspirations and mission, had a distorted view of political achievements, gone against the new development concepts, colluded with others to fabricate evidence to resist organizational investigation; violated the spirit of the Eight-point Regulation of the Central Committee, accepted gifts that may affect the impartial execution of official duties, accepted invitations and arrangements for travel activities from management and service objects; violating organizational principles, seeking benefits for others in activities such as cadre selection and employment of workers and accepting money and goods; breached the bottom line of integrity; ignored the interests of the masses, passively dealt with the legitimate demands of the masses; intervened in and interfered with market economic activities in violation of rules; violated the rules of life; abused public power for personal gain, willingly becoming a target of corruption, using his position to seek benefits for others in project contracting, fund disbursement, and accepting large amounts of money illegally. Long Yong has seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, mass discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, constituting a serious violation of duty and suspicion of bribery, and has not restrained himself or stopped his actions after the 18th National Congress of the Party, with severe nature and bad impact, and should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Disciplinary Regulations of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Sanctions Law for Public Servants of the People's Republic of China," the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, after discussion and approval by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, decided to expel Long Yong from the Party; the Sichuan Provincial Supervision Commission will remove him from public office; terminate his qualification as a delegate to the 11th Party Congress of Panzhihua City; confiscate his ill-gotten gains from disciplinary violations; and transfer his suspected crimes to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution, along with the relevant assets.
