Cui Dongshu: China's car exports in April increased by 52% year-on-year, with strong performance in the export of new energy vehicles.
According to the Securities Times app, Cui Dongshu stated in an article that from January to April 2026, China exported 3.26 million cars, with a year-on-year growth rate of 51% compared to the same period in 2025. In April, China exported 940,000 cars, an increase of 52% year-on-year and 21% month-on-month. The overall trend of year-on-year growth is strong, but month-on-month growth was lower due to the impact of the Middle East. In April 2026, China exported 463,000 new energy vehicles, an increase of 59% compared to the same period last year. The cumulative export of new energy vehicles from January to April reached 1.47 million units, showing a 69% increase. The performance in April for the export of new energy vehicles was stronger than in March.
