This morning, as the 55451 EMU train departed from Shiyan East Station, the newly built Xi'an to Shiyan high-speed railway Hubei section officially entered the operational testing phase after completing the joint debugging and testing. The West Shi High-speed Railway is a national medium and long-term railway network planning project, starting from Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, passing through Shangluo City, crossing the Qinling Mountains, and connecting to Shiyan City, Hubei Province. The main line is approximately 256 kilometers in length with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. During the operational testing phase, the railway department will comprehensively conduct train operation diagram parameter testing, fault simulation and emergency drills, and scheduled train operations to provide reliable technical support for official operation. After opening for operation, it will only take about an hour to travel from Shiyan to Xi'an; at the same time, it will connect with the Han Shi High-speed Railway at Shiyan East Station to create a fast railway passenger transport corridor from Wuhan to Xi'an, allowing travel between Wuhan and Xi'an in under 3 hours.
