Yuri Mora, a spokesperson for the Honduran prosecutor's office, said in an interview with the media that an armed attack occurred at a palm plantation in Trujillo, Coln Province, that day, resulting in at least 19 deaths. The prosecutor's office confirmed 17 bodies at the scene, while 2 bodies may have already been taken by relatives. The identification of the victims and autopsy work is ongoing. According to the Honduran police, on the same day, another violent incident occurred in the city of Omoa, Corts Province, near the Guatemala border, resulting in the deaths of 5 police officers.
