Research teams from the University of Science and Technology of China and the Southern University of Science and Technology have observed for the first time a nodeless superconducting energy gap in high-temperature superconducting nickel oxide thin films, and discovered the phenomenon of electron-boson coupling. This is a significant breakthrough in the field of high-temperature superconductivity research. The related findings were published online in the international academic journal "Science" on May 22.
