Former vice bureau-level official Wang Huaxiong of Hangzhou Customs has been expelled from the party.

Recently, the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed at the General Administration of Customs, as well as the Xiangyang Municipal Supervisory Commission in Hubei Province, conducted a case investigation into the serious violations of discipline and laws by Wang Huaxiong, a former deputy department-level cadre of Hangzhou Customs. After investigation, it was found that Wang Huaxiong had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original mission, violated the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulations by accepting banquets and tourism arrangements in violation of regulations; he had sought benefits for others and accepted property during the job transfer of cadres; he had improperly accepted consumption cards and received free decoration services from management and service objects; he had abused his position to seek benefits for others and illegally accepted property. After deliberation by the Party committee of the General Administration of Customs, Wang Huaxiong was expelled from the party; after deliberation by the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed at the General Administration of Customs, it was decided to cancel his benefits in accordance with regulations; confiscate his illegally obtained gains; and transfer him to the prosecution authority by the Xiangyang Municipal Supervisory Commission in Hubei Province for investigation and prosecution of suspected criminal activities, along with all related properties.
