Josh Smiley is no longer serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Reyon Pharmaceutical.

On the morning of May 22, Ascendant Pharmaceuticals announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that on May 18, 2026, the company's board of directors decided that Josh Smiley would no longer serve as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer, effective as of May 18, 2026, with his last day of employment with the company being May 22, 2026. The responsibilities associated with this position have been taken over by the company's Chairman, founder and CEO Du Ying, as well as other members of the company's management team. Once Smiley signs a standard termination agreement, he will receive severance pay according to his existing employment contract.
