On May 20th, the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment jointly held a seminar on the service and guarantee of the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt in Yibin, Sichuan. In recent years, the procuratorial organs have deeply studied and implemented the important discourses of General Secretary Xi Jinping on promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, comprehensively and lawfully fulfilling their procuratorial functions, continuously implementing ten procuratorial measures to serve and guarantee the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, deploying special actions to combat illegal fishing activities in the Yangtze River basin, handling public interest litigation cases related to the governance of ship pollution in the Yangtze River, strengthening coordination and cooperation with departments such as ecology and environment, and working together with all parties to achieve new results in promoting the concept of "joint protection".
