According to the Wise Finance and Economics app, on May 19, the Macao SAR government released the consultation text of the "Third Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the Macao Special Administrative Region (2026-2030)," open for consultation from May 20 to June 28. Among the goals proposed are increasing the non-gaming sector's share of GDP from 56.7% in 2024 to around 60% by 2030, aiming to raise GDP and the median monthly income of local employed residents, and investing at least MOP 18 billion in scientific and technological infrastructure.
