State Administration for Market Regulation: Over 40 million individual businesses in the "four new economies" sector.

Today, reporters learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that individual industrial and commercial households are an important part of the private economy and the largest number of operating entities in our country. By the end of 2025, the number of individual industrial and commercial households in China's "four new economies" reached 40.109 million, maintaining a growth trend for five consecutive years. After the implementation of the "People's Republic of China Private Economy Promotion Law", in order to solve the difficulties faced by individual industrial and commercial households in entrepreneurship investment, transformation and upgrading, and market exit, the State Administration for Market Regulation has issued the "Regulations on Registration and Management of Individual Industrial and Commercial Households". While standardizing registration and management, it strengthens institutional innovation, pays more attention to rights protection, realizes multiple conveniences, and effectively stimulates the entrepreneurial and innovative vitality of individual industrial and commercial households.
