The 22nd high-level meeting of the Asia-Pacific Regional Coast Guard Agencies Working Level Meeting officially opened in Quanzhou, Fujian.
On the morning of May 19th, the 22nd annual Working Level Meeting of the High Officials of the Asia Pacific Coast Guard Agencies, hosted by China Coast Guard Bureau, opened in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, the starting point of the "Maritime Silk Road". Representatives from more than 50 foreign countries, including 18 countries' maritime law enforcement agencies and 2 international organizations, attended the meeting. The four-day meeting will focus on discussing key topics such as prevention and suppression of illegal activities at sea, maritime search and rescue, protection of marine ecological environment, law enforcement information sharing, joint exercises, and capacity building. Discussions and exchanges will also be conducted on topics such as maritime carbon sink law enforcement, maritime channel security, and maritime counter-terrorism. The aim is to deepen mutual trust and practical cooperation among member agencies, work together to address challenges in non-traditional security fields at sea, and inject new impetus into the construction of a community of shared future at sea.
