Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications newly added a major in Intelligent Human-Machine Interaction.

On May 16, the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications held its 2026 campus open day and college admissions consultation event with the theme "Meet at BUPT, Pursue Light and Future" at its Xitucheng Road campus. During a press conference held at the same time, it was revealed that the Ministry of Education recently released the "Undergraduate Major Catalog of Ordinary Institutions of Higher Education," with "Intelligent Things" being recognized as a strategically needed major to lead future industrial revolution, and it has been included in the sequence of university major construction. BUPT is among the first nine universities to offer this major. Following the establishment of the Low Altitude Technology and Engineering major in 2025, BUPT has once again positioned itself as one of the first universities in the country to offer majors in strategically needed fields.
