Reporters learned on May 14th from airlines such as Air China, China Southern Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines, that the fuel surcharge for domestic flights in mainland China will increase starting from 0:00 on May 16th. The specific standards are as follows: 90 yuan per segment for flights under 800 kilometers, and 170 yuan per segment for flights over 800 kilometers. Infants will be exempt from the fuel surcharge, while children, revolutionary disabled soldiers, and disabled police officers on official duty will only be charged half of the fuel surcharge. For domestic flight tickets sold before May 15th, if changes are made after May 16th, the price difference will not be charged according to the new standard.
