As of the midday break, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.4%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 0.89%, the Growth Enterprise Index fell by 0.37%, and the CSI 50 Index fell by 0.62%. In terms of sector themes, the grid equipment, securities, and optical fiber concept sectors were among the top gainers; while the energy metals and pork sectors were among the top losers. On the market, grid equipment continued to rise, with several individual stocks such as Dalian Electric Porcelain, Tongda Group, Hengtong Optic-Electric, and Taiyang Electric Cable hitting their daily limit up. The securities sector was volatile and trending higher, with Changcheng Securities approaching its daily limit up and Dongfang Securities rising by over 3%. The optical fiber concept opened high and continued to rise, with Weike Technology, Tongguang Cable, Hangdian Stock, and Far East Stock hitting their limit up. Many stocks within the sector hit historical highs. The energy metals sector was volatile and weakening, with Hanrui Cobalt falling by over 7% and Yongshang Lithium and Tianqi Lithium falling by nearly 4%. The pork sector continued to weaken, with Huatong Securities approaching the daily limit down and Tiankang Biology, Jinxin Farming, and ST Longda all falling by over 5%.
