American oil company HF Sinclair said that around 10:45 am on Monday, a fire broke out at its refinery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The fire was quickly extinguished and did not impact production. The company stated that all personnel are safe, but one employee was taken off-site for medical treatment. HF Sinclair said that air monitoring around the facility did not show any impact outside the refinery, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. The company operates two refineries in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The West Tulsa refinery has a daily processing capacity of approximately 85,000 barrels, while the East Tulsa refinery has a daily processing capacity of approximately 70,300 barrels. Earlier, the Tulsa Fire Department posted on Facebook that their firefighters responded to the refinery after the fire broke out, but the refinery's own fire team handled the incident and did not require external assistance.
