Maritime tracking company: Three oil tankers left the Strait of Hormuz last Sunday, with no ships passing through in the three days before that.
Data from the ship tracking company Kpler shows that on Sunday, three oil tankers sailed out of the Strait of Hormuz, ending a situation where no ships had left this strategic waterway for three consecutive days. Kpler indicates that one of the tankers, named "Stella", does not appear to be loaded with oil. The other two ships, "Kiara M" and "Agios Fanourios I", seem to have loaded crude oil at the port of Basra in Iraq and are currently heading towards Asia. During the journey, "Kiara M" turned off its transponder, while "Agios Fanourios I", controlled by the Greek tanker company Eastern Mediterranean Maritime, initially turned back towards the Persian Gulf before heading back towards the Gulf of Oman. Iranian state television reported on Monday that the day before, only one tanker had passed through the Strait of Hormuz with approval from the Iranian navy and was sailing towards Vietnam, but did not disclose the name of the tanker.
