Saudi Arabian National Petroleum Company: Global oil supply is 1 billion barrels short for two months, global crude oil market may not return to normal until 2027.
The current situation in the Middle East is uncertain. According to news from the United States on the 10th, Amin Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, stated that even if shipping in the Strait of Hormuz were to immediately resume, it would take several months for the oil market to rebalance supply and demand. However, if shipping in the Strait of Hormuz remains restricted for several more weeks, the global oil market may not return to normal until 2027. Nasser also mentioned that global oil supply has decreased by approximately 1 billion barrels in the past two months. Even if energy flows return to normal, the entire system will still require some time to return to normalcy.
