Hubei accelerates the creation of a world-class cluster in the optoelectronic information industry.

It was learned from a press conference held by the Hubei Provincial Government News Office on the 9th that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Hubei province will accelerate the construction of a high-speed full optical communication product chain, seize the opportunity in the billion-level incremental market, and build a globally influential optical communication industry hub. It is introduced that the optoelectronic information industry is an advantageous and pillar industry in Hubei. By 2025, the scale of the optoelectronic information industry in the province will exceed 1.1 trillion RMB. In the first quarter of this year, the cumulative value added in the optoelectronic information field, including "computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing," reached a growth rate of 50.8%, contributing nearly 60% to the growth of the province's industrial added value, and becoming an important force supporting the growth of the industrial economy. Looking towards the "14th Five-Year Plan", Hubei will accelerate the construction of a world-class cluster of optoelectronic information industry from four aspects: first, enhancing the level of expertise, deeply cultivating areas such as storage, semiconductors, etc., to create a world-class industry hub; second, expanding advantages, overcoming key technical areas, and accelerating the formation of a number of globally influential original, landmark technological achievements; third, nurturing main bodies, strengthening leading enterprises, cultivating specialized new enterprises, and precisely attracting investment; fourth, improving the environment, hosting well-known exhibitions, expanding integration application scenarios, promoting the connection of upstream and downstream technologies, markets, funds, and other elements, and consolidating the industry's leading advantages.
