On May 6th, the first group of 4 airship pilots trained independently in China obtained their commercial pilot licenses issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, officially starting their jobs with the license in hand. The breakthrough in independently training commercial airship pilots in China filled a gap in the industry. The 4 airship pilots who obtained commercial pilot licenses come from both customer units and manned airship development units, covering key aspects of the industry. The training strictly followed the training outline approved by the Civil Aviation Administration, constructing a full chain of courses including theory, simulation, and practical operation. The students piloted the AS700 "Xiangyun" manned airship for more than 400 takeoff and landing training sessions, successfully passing assessments by the Civil Aviation Administration's relevant work groups. It is understood that applicants for airship commercial licenses must first obtain a commercial pilot license for airplanes, and then pass theoretical, oral, and flight practical assessments to master core content such as airship principles and aviation regulations, in compliance with the Civil Aviation Administration's requirements in CCAR-61 to ensure flight safety.
