Argentina: Expects lithium and copper exports to reach 32.7 billion US dollars within the next ten years.
Argentine Minister of Mining Luis Lucero said that Argentina expects its lithium exports to reach 12.1 billion US dollars and copper exports to reach 20.6 billion US dollars within 10 years, while the country's total mining exports were only 6 billion US dollars last year. Lucero stated during a mining event held in San Juan province, "Within 10 years, Argentina's annual production of lithium carbonate equivalent could reach 580,000 tons, and copper production could reach 1.641 million tons." Currently, mining projects with a total value of 50.692 billion US dollars have been approved and submitted to the country's "Large Investment Incentive System."
