International cooperation in the field of national data launched in Shanghai Comprehensive Pilot.
Reporters learned from the 2026 Global Digital Cooperation Exchange and Global Data Week activities, which opened in Shanghai on May 6, that under the guidance of the National Bureau of Statistics, Shanghai, as one of the first pilot projects for international cooperation in the field of data, has officially launched the comprehensive pilot project for international cooperation in the field of data in Shanghai.
This pilot project focuses on 6 major areas and 17 specific tasks, aiming to build a new international data cooperation system by 2030, with leading infrastructure, mutual recognition of rules, empowerment of carriers, and integration of scenarios. The focus is on unlocking the value of data, promoting digital economy prosperity, advancing digital offshore services, and building a work pattern of "high-standard cross-border data new foundation, high-quality rule mutual recognition new system, high-energy international cooperation new carrier, and high-coordinated offshore service new ecology", in order to explore innovation in participating in global digital governance and promoting convenient cross-border data flow.
