Amazon launches a new supply chain service, providing a one-stop solution.
Amazon is launching a new supply chain service, trying to replicate the success path of Amazon Web Services in the field of logistics. The largest American revenue company officially announced on Monday the launch of Amazon Supply Chain Services. The service provides a one-stop solution for consumer goods manufacturers, clothing retailers, and other types of businesses, outsourcing Amazon's warehouse fulfillment, sea and air transport, and road freight logistics services. Amazon's move to integrate all of its supply chain services into a unified platform essentially transforms it into a third-party logistics service provider, competing with transportation and warehousing giants such as DHL, Expeditors International, and DSV. Research firm Armstrong & Associates data shows that the global third-party logistics services market is estimated to exceed $1.3 trillion, and this layout also gives Amazon the opportunity to grab a larger share of this market.
