The Libyan Red Crescent announced on the evening of the 29th that rescuers had saved 7 people and recovered 17 bodies from a malfunctioning migrant boat near the east coast of Libya. The organization stated in a declaration that the migrant boat had been stranded at sea for 8 days due to a malfunction, with the incident taking place near the sea of Tobruk in eastern Libya. This rescue operation was conducted jointly by the Libyan Navy and the Coast Guard and lasted for 8 hours.
