Japanese company Terra Drone expands investment in Ukraine's drone industry.

Tokyo-based Terra Drone Corporation will expand its investment in the field of intercepting drones in Ukraine. The company hopes to bring back battlefield-tested technology to Japan in order to compete for Japan's multi-billion dollar defense budget for unmanned systems. Terra Drone CEO Toru Tokushige said on Tuesday that the company will establish a new strategic partnership with WinnyLab LLC in Ukraine to develop fixed-wing drone interceptors. Earlier, the company announced in March that it will invest in Ukraine's Amazing Drones LLC to develop vertical takeoff and landing drone interceptors. Financial details have not been disclosed.
