According to the Tianjin Daily, data provided by the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology shows that in the first quarter of this year, the added value of the city's new materials industry increased by 8.1% year-on-year, outpacing the growth of the overall industrial sector. This directly drove the added value of the city's large-scale industries to increase by 0.5 percentage points, achieving a output value of 74.77 billion yuan, accounting for 13.8% of the total output value of large-scale industries in the city, an increase of 11.8% year-on-year.
