A small plane crashed in South Sudan, killing all 14 people on board.
The Civil Aviation Authority of South Sudan confirmed on the 27th that a small passenger plane had crashed near the capital Juba of South Sudan on the same day, killing all 14 people on board. The Civil Aviation Authority of South Sudan said in a statement that the plane took off from the southern city of Yei at 9:15 am on the same day, planning to fly to Juba International Airport, and lost contact at 9:43 am. There were a total of 13 passengers and 1 pilot on board, including 2 Kenyan citizens and 12 South Sudanese citizens. Investigators and rescue teams have rushed to the crash site to search for bodies and conduct technical data retrieval work. The cause of the accident is still under further investigation. Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident may be related to adverse weather conditions, especially low visibility during the flight.
