On April 26th, Pan Xiangbin, Deputy Director of the Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, was awarded the "Pakistan Star" honorary medal by President Zardari of Pakistan in Changsha, Hunan, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the medical field in Pakistan. The emergency project to treat congenital heart disease in Pakistan is the first technical cooperation in the field of congenital heart disease treatment between China and Pakistan. During their time in Pakistan, Pan Xiangbin's team provided intensive training to about 200 local medical staff, systematically teaching them the operation process of ultrasound-guided interventional technology, mobile medical vehicle technology, and other content. "This is not a personal honor, but a commendation for the Chinese medical team, and an important witness to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan," Pan Xiangbin said, emphasizing that they have always adhered to the concept of "putting people first, valuing life," and China's medical aid does not only involve sending doctors for surgery, but also exporting original advanced technology to benefit the people of Pakistan.
