Liu Mingyang, Deputy Director of the Electricity Department of the National Energy Administration: During this year's Spring Festival, the scale of electric vehicle travel reached a new high. Through the national charging facility monitoring service platform, we analyzed the charging situation on highways. During the Spring Festival, there were a total of 6.02 million charging sessions on highways, with a total charging capacity of 149.76 million kilowatt-hours. The daily average charging amount was 16.64 million kilowatt-hours, setting a new record. We instructed local governments and companies to strengthen pre-holiday inspections, holiday patrols, and charging guidance to effectively meet the charging needs of electric vehicles for large-scale travel. It is expected that during the upcoming Labor Day holiday period, the demand for charging will significantly increase. We have predicted a list of busy charging service areas based on historical data in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, and guided local governments to develop targeted guarantee plans to provide convenient and reliable charging services for the public's travel.
