Insurance premium income in the first quarter increased by 6.2% year-on-year in the insurance industry.

Today, the China Insurance Association held a press conference. The responsible person introduced that in the first quarter of 2026, the insurance industry achieved premium income of 2.31 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%; claims expenditure was 0.89 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%.
