Spring break triggers the "longest May Day" domestic tourism market restructuring holiday economy.

This year's "May Day" holiday, nearly 30 cities across the country have their primary and secondary school students on spring break, with many places having a continuous holiday from "spring break + May Day" lasting up to 8 to 10 days. Coupled with the "work 4 days, off 11 days" scheduling strategy, a 5-day statutory holiday has been extended to a 17-day travel window. The longer time frame has made this year's "May Day" Golden Week present a more diverse travel pattern. Data from Qunar Travel shows that orders for "traveling through multiple cities" have increased by 118%, while hotel bookings in third-tier and below cities have doubled. Some people have driven from the valley to the snow-capped mountains of Ili in Xinjiang, while others have hidden in a five-star hotel in Danzhou, Hainan for only 300 yuan. At the same time, concerts by May Day, Yue Yunpeng and events like the "Su Super League" are becoming new traffic engines.
