The U.S. Treasury Department implemented a new round of financial sanctions against Iran.
On April 24th local time, according to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. has issued new sanctions related to Iran. At the same time, the OFAC also updated the "Specially Designated Nationals List," stating that it is part of the adjustments made in this round of Iran-related sanctions. In addition, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced sanctions on multiple "wallets" associated with Iran, freezing approximately $344 million in cryptocurrency assets. U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated on social media that this is one of the financial sanction measures targeting Iran.
