European major stock indexes closed lower.

The German DAX30 index fell by 0.18% to 24137.12 points; the UK's FTSE 100 index fell by 0.75% to 10378.52 points; the French CAC40 index fell by 0.84% to 8157.82 points; the European Stoxx 50 index fell by 0.22% to 5881.75 points; the Spanish IBEX35 index fell by 1.16% to 17677.77 points; and the Italian FTSE MIB index fell by 0.53% to 47652.50 points.
