Director Wang Jianxun of the Department of Treasury and Payment Center stated that in the first quarter, the national general public budget expenditure was 7.47 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.6% year-on-year. The expenditure scale accounted for 24.9% of the budget at the beginning of the year, and the expenditure progress was the fastest in nearly five years.
