At the press conference held by the State Council Information Office today, it was learned that facing the vigorous development of strategic emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, and biomedicine, as well as future industries, the State Intellectual Property Office is continuously improving the efficient intellectual property comprehensive management system, continuously enhancing management efficiency, and effectively strengthening intellectual property protection in emerging fields. In addition, further optimizing patent examination policies, enhancing examination capabilities in emerging technology fields through business guidance and training, providing various examination channels such as priority examination and expedited examination, dynamically updating goods and service items, a total of 890 items related to new industries and formats such as big data and artificial intelligence have been publicly disclosed, addressing practical issues such as lack of corresponding items for trademark registration and unclear protection boundaries in emerging fields. Setting up 82 national-level intellectual property protection centers nationwide, covering cutting-edge directions and key areas such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, quantum technology, brain-machine interfaces, effectively meeting the needs of innovation subjects for "fast protection". Optimizing the overseas intellectual property dispute response guidance system, a total of 116 overseas dispute response guidance work platforms have been set up, strengthening early warning monitoring and risk assessment, helping emerging field enterprises stabilize their overseas markets and safeguard their overseas rights.
