UK Maritime Trade Operations Office: The maritime security environment in the Arabian Gulf, Oman Gulf, and the Strait of Hormuz remains at a "critical" level. Commercial passage is still restricted, transit is constrained, and route uncertainties persist. The Red Sea, Bab el Mandeb Strait, and the Gulf of Aden are still assessed as a "moderate" threat level, with no confirmed maritime incidents occurring and vessel passage not significantly disrupted. Nevertheless, regional tensions continue to exist, and the situation may change unexpectedly. It has been observed that vessels are transiting through Omani territorial waters, which is the preferred route to reduce exposure to suspicious dangerous areas. Although there have been no confirmed reports of attacks on maritime infrastructure in the area, the risk remains "high."
