National Intellectual Property Administration: China has authorized a total of 972,000 invention patents by 2025.

The State Council Information Office held a press conference this afternoon, where the National Intellectual Property Administration introduced the situation of building China into a strong intellectual property country by 2025. By 2025, China's intellectual property creation quality has continued to improve. Throughout the year, a total of 972,000 invention patents were authorized, 10.677 million trademark registrations and copyrights were registered, 104 geographical indication products were identified, 51 geographical indications were approved as collective trademarks or certification trademarks, and 6,986 plant new variety rights were granted. China has become the world's first country with more than 5 million effective invention patents, laying out key core technology patents in future industries such as quantum technology, biological manufacturing, brain-machine interfaces, and 6G communications.
