The Malian military released a statement on the 22nd saying that the Malian air force launched airstrikes in the Koulikoro region in the west of the country, killing more than 70 terrorists and destroying all of their logistical supplies. The General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces stated in the declaration that the air force, while conducting aerial reconnaissance missions in the city of Zantigila in the Koulikoro region, discovered an armed convoy consisting of approximately 40 motorcycles moving in a protected forest area south of the city.
