As the demand for AI computing power continues to surge, the CPU industry may usher in a new round of price increases. According to reports, TSMC rarely expands production after the process is mature. However, the company has recently continued to increase its 3nm production capacity to cope with the simultaneous surge in CPU and AI ASICs. It is reported that mainstream versions of CPUs, including those from Intel and AMD, as well as the upcoming Vera CPU from NVIDIA, all use the 3nm process. Additionally, CPU giant Intel recently announced the repurchase of a 49% stake in the Ireland Fab 34 wafer factory for $14.2 billion, reclaiming production dominance. The factory is a key point for Intel's 4 and 3 processes and is one of the highest volume advanced process wafer factories currently.
