According to informed sources, the Trump administration is about to finalize a rescue plan for Spirit Airlines; after the airline completes its bankruptcy reorganization and resumes operations, the US government could potentially hold up to 90% of the shares of the new entity post-reorganization. Several sources, who wished to remain anonymous, have stated that the yet-to-be-finalized agreement includes the provision of up to $500 million in financing by the US in exchange for warrants to subscribe for up to 90% of the new entity's shares. At present, there are still uncertainties in the negotiations, and the two parties may not necessarily reach a final agreement, with the actual ownership stake of the US government still to be determined.
