Analysis: The Bank of England may keep interest rates unchanged in April.
Hargreaves Lansdown's Emma Wall stated in a report that despite a slight rise in UK inflation rate, the Bank of England may keep the interest rate unchanged at 3.75% at the next rate decision on April 30. The overall inflation rate in the UK in March, compared to February, increased from 3.0% to 3.3%. Data from the London Stock Exchange Group shows that investors predict a 9% chance of the Bank of England raising interest rates by 0.25 percentage points in April. Wall said, "The inflation rate in April may also remain high, with the market currently expecting one rate hike later this year, but our internal view is that the rate will remain unchanged during the turmoil."
