Report: Malawi is selling part of its gold reserves to pay for fuel imports.

According to the newspaper "Nation" based in Blantyre, Malawi, Information Minister Shadric Namalomba reported that Malawi raised $30 million by selling part of its gold reserves to purchase gasoline in response to the worsening fuel crisis.
